Why You Should Limit Your Exposure To Daniel Suarez In DFS This Weekend
1 year agoDaniel Suarez will start 20th in Sunday's Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway. Despite Chevrolet earning the top four starting positions for Sunday's race, Suarez struggled to find the same speed that his fellow bowties did, which isn't really surprising given his history at this track. In his four starts in the Next Gen car at Richmond, Suarez has an average finish of 22.75 and an average DraftKings score of 21.30. While it is easy to dismiss results like this as the exception rather than the expectation, his other related data is equally as concerning. Over the last 11 short track races (excluding Bristol Dirt), the former Xfinity Series champion has scored an average of 23.02 DraftKings points. Likewise, in the three races using the road/short course aerodynamic package that will be used on Sunday, he is averaging just 21.90 DraftKings points. As you can see, the results at Richmond, on short tracks, and in the 2024 modified aerodynamic package are almost identical and are all unimpressive. Because of these struggles, it is recommended that you limit your exposure to the No.99 to a maximum of 5% of your lineup builds this weekend in DFS.

Should DFS Players Roster Daniel Suarez At Martinsville?
1 week agoTrackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez will start 26th after qualifying for this week's race at Martinsville Speedway, the Cook Out 400. This race will mark the fourth consecutive race this year where Suarez will start outside of the top 20. In 16 previous races at Martinsville, Suarez had six top-20 finishes, with his last one being scored in April 2023. In six races so far this season, Suarez has two top-20 finishes while gaining a positive place differential four times. In practice, Suarez ranked 36th in overall lap averages, while only ranking among the top 20 fastest in 10 consecutive lap averages, indicating that his car is at its best on the short runs. Considering his practice speeds and how Suarez has yet to obtain positive PD in any Martinsville race since 2022, Suarez is not an ideal choice to roster in DFS lineups, especially when better alternatives are available in his salary range of $6,800.

Daniel Suarez's Poor Qualifying Makes Him A Strong DFS Option
2 weeks agoAfter Daniel Suárez's unexpected second-place finish last week at Las Vegas where his teammate Ross Chastain seemed to have the most speed for a while, Suárez qualified a miserable 33rd at Homestead, which suggests there's a lot of value there if the Trackhouse Racing cars are able to carry over their speed to other intermediate tracks. Homestead is not normally a top track for Suárez, though, as he has only earned a single top-10 finish once, but he has finished in the top 16 in his last four starts. He's likely to gain a lot of spots from 33rd, but admittedly there are a lot of races where Suárez seems to have no speed at all, and it doesn't seem like his fast races are very predictable. Nonetheless, given his poor qualifying, his recent finishes, and Trackhouse's speed last week, Suárez is probably undervalued.

Daniel Suarez Scores Career-Best Finish At Las Vegas, But Falls Short Of Winning
3 weeks agoAfter a couple of races of failing to score a great finish, Daniel Suarez of Trackhouse Racing finished second. Starting from the 23rd position, Suarez progressively made his way through the field over the course of the race through moves on track or pit strategy. He was 14th by the end of the first stage, making him unable to score stage points, but he did place seventh at the end of the second stage, and scored a few there. Suarez made his way to the lead in the latter portions of the race by taking advantage of two tire strategies to maintain track position, gaining the lead and ultimately leading 12 laps before battling with Josh Berry. By lap 254, Suarez lost the lead for the final time thanks to his car getting loose, allowing Berry to slip by while Suarez settled for being the runner-up to this week's race. This is a new career-best finish for Suarez in the Cup Series at Las Vegas in 16 starts.

Should Fantasy Managers Roster Daniel Suarez At Las Vegas?
3 weeks agoTrackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez will start 23rd for the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This will be the second consecutive Las Vegas race where Suarez will start from the 23rd position. In 15 races at Vegas, Suarez has 10 top-20 finishes, including four straight top-15 results in the last four Cup events at the site. The No. 99 Chevrolet driver does not have the strongest start to the year with only one top-20 finish in the first four races of the 2025 Cup season. In practice, Suarez ranked 21st in overall lap averages while displaying top-20 speeds in all other categories. Considering his relatively inexpensive salary ($7,100 on DraftKings), recent Vegas history, and his practice speeds, Suarez is worth rostering in all formats.
