Why You Should Fade Austin Dillon In DFS This Weekend At Chicago
5 months agoAustin Dillon will start from P15 in Sunday's Grant Park 165 from Chicago, IL. With just two top-10s on the season and with three DNFs in his last four races, 2024 has been a disaster for the 14-year Cup veteran. While it is not uncommon for a driver to have a bounce-back performance following a series of bad runs, there is nothing to suggest that Dillion will do this Sunday afternoon in the Windy City. Considering he has just two top-10 finishes in 35 Cup starts on road courses, a similar though not identical style of track to the Chicago street course, and that he finished 36th in this race last year, there is no case that can be made for rostering him in DFS. Even with his low DraftKings salary ($5,400), the Richard Childress Racing star would have to maintain his track position and finish in the top 15 to return value, something he is unlikely to do. Between his struggles this season, his struggles on similar track styles, and the fact that he overqualified, Austin Dillon should be faded in DFS this weekend.
