White Sox Sign Brandon Guyer
6 years agoThe Chicago White Sox signed free-agent outfielder Brandon Guyer to a minor league deal on Tuesday, according to a source. The 33-year-old hit just .236/.326/.327 with two home runs and 20 RBI in 70 games with Cleveland last year due to an injury but he does have a career .824 OPS against left-handed pitchers and will be a platoon option for a rebuilding White Sox club with Avisail Garcia and Matt Davidson gone. Guyer won't be relevant in mixed leagues, but he could be worth a dollar flier in AL-only affairs and he'll be worth considering as a deep sleeper in DFS against certain southpaws.
