White Sox Serious About Edwin Encarnacion
5 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are in serious pursuit of first baseman/designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion, although nothing is likely to be completed until after the holidays. Encarnacion, 37 in January, would be Chicago's full-time designated hitter if he lands with them, while occasionally spelling Jose Abreu at first base. It'd be a good setup for the veteran slugger, as the Pale Hose would be trying to keep him healthy throughout the year. EE hit .244/.344/.531 with 34 home runs, 81 runs and 86 RBI in 418 at-bats with the Mariners and Yankees last year. He's a one-dimensional hitter for fantasy but can still make an impact with his power if he can just stay on the field.
