1 year agoThe White Sox released infielder Hanser Alberto on Sunday. The 30-year-old spent time in the lineup while Elvis Andrus (oblique) was on the shelf. However, the team designated him for assignment a few days ago, a move made to prepare for his unconditional release. Alberto was hitting .220 in 82 at-bats this season, one of the lowest marks of his career. He'll likely find his way on another team, although it won't make much of a difference for fantasy managers, considering he wasn't on many rosters, to begin with.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
