White Sox Part Ways With Ken Williams, Rick Hahn Tuesday
1 year agoThe Chicago White Sox relieved executive vice president Ken Williams and general manager Rick Hahn of their duties Tuesday, per MLB.com's Scott Merkin. Williams was in his 11th season as executive vice president after originally joining the organization in 1992 as a scout. Hahn served as the White Sox general manager for the past 11 seasons after joining the organization in 2000 as assistant general manager. While the two helped build some successful seasons, including a 2005 World Series title, the White Sox are currently 49-77 in what is supposed to be the tail-end of a rebuild. The White Sox will begin a search for a single decision-maker and anticipate making a decision by the end of the season.
