Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood faces a "steep uphill battle" to make the Eagles final roster for the 2018 season. Smallwood got some playing time in 2017, but that all disappeared once Jay Ajayi was acquired. With Ajayi, Darren Sproles, and Corey Clement firmly ahead of him on the depth chart, Smallwood looks like he might have to compete with Donnel Pumphrey for the final running back position. It would be a position that would likely need to contribute on special teams. Smallwood is a replacement-level talent at best, so even if he lands in a better situation on a different team, he won't return much, if any, fantasy value.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
