Wayne Ellington Drops 26 Points In Spot Start
7 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard Wayne Ellington got the start Saturday night with Goran Dragic (knee) sitting out the win over the Charlotte Hornets. Ellington took over the offensive burden, scoring a team-high 26 points on 10-for-15 shooting with six three-pointers, three assists and a steal in 37 minutes. Ellington has been enjoying a career year in points and threes and will continue to get run with Dion Waiters (ankle) out for the season. Dragic ended up being active but was only available in case of an emergency, as Miami was on the second game of a back-to-back. If Dragic sits again Monday night, Ellington would be a great option for streaming and DFS contests, as the Houston Rockets give up the eighth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.
