Washington Releases Thaddeus Moss
4 years agoThe Washington Football Team released tight end Thaddeus Moss, the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss, on Friday. Moss signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent after last year's draft, and the team was hoping he could develop into a complementary tight end. However, Moss missed part of the summer with a foot injury after doctors discovered that he had fractured his fifth metatarsal bone in his foot, which required surgery and almost eight weeks of recovery time. But one source said his release was more about numbers at the position than past injuries. Moss had 47 catches for 570 yards and four touchdowns for LSU in 2019. Washington also released defensive lineman Caleb Brantley, running backs Michael Warren and Javon Leake and wide receiver Emanuel Hall.
