Washington Commanders Defense Faces Tougher Task In Week 8
1 month agoThe Washington Commanders defense is coming off one of their best performances of the season, where they held the Carolina Panthers to just seven points. In this game, they tallied a defensive touchdown with two sacks. This was a nice bounce back performance after they struggled against Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry in Week 6. This season, the Washington defense has performed very well at times, as they have limited their opponent to under 20 points on four occasions. However, they have surrendered at least 30 points in the other games. This weekend, they face a tough task as opposing QB Caleb Williams has begun to find his footing at the professional level, averaging 265.0 passing yards per game with six total scores in his past two games. Given their unfavorable matchup, Washington remains a low-end option and should only be started in deep 14+ team formats given their inconsistencies this season.
