Wander Franco Removed From Saturday's Game
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco left Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Reds with discomfort in his right hand and wrist. Franco felt discomfort after his first at-bat and left before taking the field. This would be another tough break for the up-and-coming star, who came back from a quadricep injury on June 26th. Testing will be done Monday to determine the severity of the injury, meaning he won't be in the lineup tomorrow. Franco had been riding a 10-game hit streak and seemed to be picking it up at the dish, so hopefully this isn't another long-term injury.
