2 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (neck) exited early during Thursday's game against the New York Yankees with neck spasms and tightness. He went 2-for-3 before leaving. Franco was replaced by Isaac Paredes in the fifth inning after feeling neck discomfort during his third at-bat. The 22-year-old will be re-evaluated on Friday and is considered day-to-day. Franco is off to a blistering start this season, slashing .318/.374/.554 with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs, and 11 stolen bases over 37 games.
