Walker Jenkins Off To Slow Start After Ankle Injury
1 week agoMinnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins (ankle) has tallied just one hit through his first two games of the Double-A regular season. He suffered this ankle injury during camp, but it was not considered serious. Fantasy managers should expect the team to continue to monitor Jenkins' workload as he missed time in 2024 due to a hamstring injury. Last summer, the No. 3 prospect in the sport split time between Low-A and High-A. In 33 games at Low-A, Jenkins held a .273/.404/.413 slash line with six doubles and three home runs. In 34 games with High-A Cedar Rapids posted a strong .290/.382/.481 line. Fantasy managers should expect Jenkins to push for a Triple-A debut later in the season, which will open the door for a 2026 MLB debut.
