Walker Buehler Sent Back To Minors, Will Likely Return This Weekend
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter and top pitching prospect Walker Buehler has been sent to the High-A affiliate Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Tuesday, one day after making his major league starting debut against the Marlins. The Dodgers need the bench spot, and Daniel Hudson has been called up to take his place. Buehler won't do anything but hang out until he's likely recalled this weekend to start against the Giants in one of the doubleheader games on Saturday. Buehler impressed mightily in his debut. Pumping 100-plus mph fastballs, he whiffed five batters, walked three and gave up four hits, all singles. The Dodgers will cap his innings this year at 150 or so, but he's definitely worth the stash.
