Walker Buehler Allows Four Runs In Loss To Pirates
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler had an underwhelming outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Memorial Day. He pitched six innings and allowed seven hits, one walk and four earned runs while striking out seven. He wound up with a no decision in the game. It's been a strange start to the year for the 27-year-old. On the bright side, he's 6-1 with a 3.22 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. However, his strikeout rate is currently sitting at a career-low of 20%, down from 26% last year. Meanwhile, his 3.70 xERA is the highest of his career. Buehler is still certainly a must-start player in all fantasy formats, regardless of matchups. Fantasy managers should just temper expectations a bit for him as he may not be able to provide ace statistics throughout the year. He'll make his next start on Saturday against the New York Mets.
