Wade Davis Logs 21st Save
6 years agoColorado Rockies closer Wade Davis got the job done on Wednesday as he nailed down his 21st save of the season. Davis has recently gone through a rocky patch and Wednesday wasn't his best work, as he gave up a hit and didn't strike anyone out. However, he did move back into a tie for first in the National League by doing his job. Davis is still putting up the save numbers of a stud, but he's also blown more saves this season than ever before in his career and his strikeout numbers are the lowest they've been since he was a starter five years ago. With inflated walk numbers, dropping strikeout numbers and his recent run of blown saves, it wouldn't be a bad time for owners to look for a trade partner and cash in before it truly implodes. If Adam Ottavino isn't owned in any league, he should be.
