Wade Davis Gets Save But Allows A Run
5 years agoColorado Rockies closer Wade Davis isn't having a good week. He appeared three times in the series with the Padres where the two teams combined to score more runs than had ever been scored in a four-game series. He allowed runs all three times, culminating in a spectacular meltdown on Sunday in which he allowed four to score while only getting two outs. Then, he gets his first chance to bounce back in Arizona, and he gets the save...while allowing another run. Fortunately, he had a three-run cushion to work with this time, but for anyone who owns Davis, it's probably a good time to invest in Scott Oberg, if you don't own him already.
