Vladimir Tarasenko Ends Dry Spell With An Assist
4 years agoSt. Louis Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko ended a three-game point drought with an assist in Monday's 5-1 loss to Vegas. Vince Dunn scored in a second consecutive game. Tarasenko, who made his season debut on Mar. 6, was very productive in his first few outings of the year but hit a bit of a wall soon after. However, it's completely understandable, with the Russian sniper last playing regular-season hockey in 2019. He now has five points in eight games with 20 shots and a minus-six rating. Tarasenko gets a pair of favorable matchups against Anaheim later in the week, but the Blues have to battle with the pesky Wild first on Thursday.

Vladimir Tarasenko A Game-Time Decision Monday
2 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) is a game-time decision for Monday's tilt against the Los Angeles Kings. He is battling to recover from an illness in time for the puck drop. Tarasenko has not had a good time in Motown, recording 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in 48 games. With Patrick Kane (upper body) remaining out on Monday, Jonatan Berggren might join the top-six group. The Swedish winger has registered 13 points (eight goals, five assists) across 47 outings in 2024-25. He is not a reliable fantasy option.

Vladimir Tarasenko Ready To Go For Saturday
4 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) appears to be over his sickness and should play on Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres. Tarasenko missed Wednesday's game while dealing with the flu, but is back at practice Friday. The 32-year-old is off to a rough start with his new team, as he has just two goals and one assist through nine games. He has been playing on the third line and second powerplay unit as of late, and unless that changes his production is unlikely to rebound. He can be dropped in all but deeper leagues at this point.

Vladimir Tarasenko Good To Go Thursday
5 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) will play against the Rangers on Thursday. He was forced to sit out Wednesday's practice because of an illness but won't miss any game time. Tarasenko should join his usual partners, J.T. Compher and Lucas Raymond, on the second line. The campaign has not gone too well for Tarasenko so far, as he boasts only one point through three games, having found the back of the net in last week's season opener against Pittsburgh. However, he should be eager to perform well in a matchup against his former team. Tarasenko has tallied two goals and one assist in four games against the Rangers since leaving New York.
