Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Justin Turner Not Playing Wednesday
6 months agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., designated hitter Justin Turner and catcher Danny Jansen are all getting the day off on Wednesday in a matinee affair against the Milwaukee Brewers. Rookie Spencer Horwitz is at first base and is leading off, Daniel Vogelbach is the DH and is hitting cleanup, and Alejandro Kirk is catching and hitting sixth against Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers. This is the first time all season that Guerrero has taken a day off. Fantasy managers would probably prefer more power from Vlad (only seven home runs), but he's hitting a solid .282 (73-for-259) with 30 RBI in 2024. After playing in 15 games for the Jays last year in his big-league debut, Horwitz has gone 5-for-14 in his first four games in 2024 and will be an interesting sleeper pick for DFS lineups on Wednesday out of the leadoff spot.
