Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Connects For First Spring Homer
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slugged his first long ball of the spring in the team's Grapefruit League loss to the Pirates on Sunday. The youngster is now 4-for-14 this spring, with the solo shot marking his first extra-base hit of the preseason and his second RBI. Guerrero Jr. has impressed his coaches this offseason with his body in better shape to help him combat injury and fatigue, both of which impacted his 2019 season. With lots yet to prove at the major-league level, the former top prospect's early-round price comes with some risk, but with plenty of reward potential as he enters his first full MLB season.
