2 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Vitek Vanecek tallied his third shutout of the season Sunday as the team delivered Carolina a 3-0 loss. The Czech netminder pulled off 32 saves, with Jack Hughes pulling the string offensively and recording a goal and two assists. Vanecek had started the month by giving up 13 goals across three games, so he really needed this one to boost his confidence, although New Jersey's red-hot offense had still given Vanecek two victories during his cold spell. Sitting on a 28-7-3 record, Vanecek is tied for the fourth-most wins among goalies, and he has registered a 2.48 goals-against average with a .910 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
