Vikings Want To Keep Ty Chandler Involved
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler had a big showing against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football in Week 11, posting 110 yards on 14 touches. He posted 45 yards and a rushing touchdown in the week prior. Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips wants to keep giving him opportunities. "I think he's shown that he making plays and we're going to continue to try to get him touches," said Phillips. "We're going to try to get him touches and make sure he's a part of it." Chandler might not have consistent fantasy value while sharing a backfield with Alexander Mattison, but the second-year back should be rostered in at least deep leagues after two impressive games. Mattison has struggled to fill the big shoes of Dalvin Cook, so this could become a clear committee moving forward. Cam Akers (Achilles) is out of the season with a torn Achilles.
