Vikings Sign Jordan Ta'amu
1 year agoThe Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent quarterback Jordan Ta'amu to an undisclosed deal on Monday and waived outside linebacker Curtis Weaver in a corresponding move. The Vikings are adding a little more competition for the backup role behind starter Kirk Cousins with the 2023 regular season quickly approaching. Ta'amu will now compete for a roster spot with Nick Mullens and rookie Jaren Hall for the rest of training camp and the preseason. The 25-year-old Ta'amu was impressive for the DC Defenders in the XFL this year, throwing for 1,894 yards, 14 touchdowns and only three interceptions while adding 298 rushing yards and three more touchdowns on the ground.
