Vikings Defense Can't Stop Backup QB In Embarrassing Loss
3 years agoWhen the news came out after pre-game warmups that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (calf) was not suiting up, you can bet Minnesota Vikings defense's fantasy managers were licking their chops at the chance to get after Cooper Rush. Rush and the Cowboy offense proceeded to put up 419 total yards in one of the most disappointing performances of the Mike Zimmer era. They were able to hold running Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys rushing attack to 3.25 yards per rush, but the pass defense allowed wide receivers Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb to each go over 100 yards. Things won't get any easier for the Viking defense next week as they face Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
