Victor Wembanyama Won't Face The Kings
9 months agoSan Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama (ankle) won't play on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings. The rookie has had a fantastic inaugural year, and he most recently had a double-double with seven blocks on Tuesday versus the Houston Rockets. More impressively, this will only be his seventh absence of the 2023-24 campaign. Nevertheless, Wembanyama's next chance to see the floor will be Saturday in Golden State. The Spurs will play it safe, so there's a chance he won't be out there for that one, either. But until he returns, Zach Collins could slide into the starting lineup. The 26-year-old has averaged 14.3 points, 5.9 boards, and 3.8 assists in 24 starts this season, making him an ideal fantasy replacement, even if it's only for a game.
