11 months agoSan Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (rest) is being told by the team's training staff to take the night off and protect the ankle that he hurt earlier in the week. According to Andrew Lopez of ESPN, this was a team decision to rest him in this game because Wembanyama has expressed that if it was up to him, he'd play every game possible. The rookie posted a huge game on Thursday with 30 points, six rebounds, six assists, and seven blocks while playing just 24 minutes. He became the third rookie ever to post a 30-5-5-5 game since blocks became official in 1973-74. While he's sidelined on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers, Zach Collins can serve as a streaming option since he'll move into the starting five.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller
