Victor Robles, Nationals Avoid Arbitration
1 year agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles has avoided arbitration with the club and has inked a one-year deal for the 2024 season. Financial terms have not been disclosed but Robles had his $3.3 million club option declined earlier in the offseason but he remained under club control and arbitration-eligible. He earned $2.325 million in the 2023 season, a successful one before a back injury limited him to just 36 games. A former top prospect, the 26-year-old rebounded from several subpar seasons at the plate to hit .299 with eight stolen bases in those 36 contests but had his season cut short in June following a one-month stint on the injured list. He projects as the everyday center fielder for the Nationals again in the 2024 season.
