Victor Mete Makes Senators Debut On Monday
4 years agoOttawa Senators defenseman Victor Mete is set to make his first appearance for the team in Monday's home game against the Jets. The 22-year-old was claimed off waivers on Monday and will be thrown straight into the action. Mete had a miserable time in Montreal this season, playing only 14 games and recording three points, but he has shown flashes of very good potential and could become a very valuable piece for the Senators. Ottawa has parted ways with veteran defensemen Braydon Coburn and Erik Gudbranson, which will give younger guys like Mete a chance to shine. Mete will skate on the third pairing in his debut with Josh Brown.
