Victor Arano Hammered In Defeat
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies reliever Victor Arano entered Tuesday night’s game at Nationals Park with the bases loaded and just one out in the fifth. The 23-year-old managed to escape the jam and would come back out for the sixth. In that frame, however, it all fell apart for the Mexican native. Arano surrendered four runs, including consecutive home runs to end his night in the very same inning. The performance was easily his worst of the season and second consecutive that saw him surrender runs. This comes after he recorded 10 consecutive scoreless outings beginning in the middle of July. Arano took the loss as the Phillies went down to the Nationals, 10-4.
