Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Mike Leake has had an up-and-down spring training, posting a 5.40 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP. Leake was acquired mid-season from the Cardinals and pitched well, going 3-1 with a 2.53 ERA for the Mariners in the second half. Leake has spent his entire career in the National League, so a regression in the numbers can be expected. But Seattle is hoping he can eat up some innings and provide a veteran presence to a rotation that was destroyed by injuries a season ago. His spring stats shouldn't doom his season completely, but Leake is not a fantasy option quite yet in standard mixed leagues until he proves otherwise.--Joey C - RotoBaller
