53 seconds agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will get the starting nod on Thursday evening when the Sabres travel to Tampa Bay to face the Lightning. Luukkonen is carrying a two-game losing skid into this contest and will have an easy matchup facing a potent Tampa Bay offense. Over his last two games, Luukkonen has held a high 4.13 GAA with a .855 save percentage. However, before this two-game skid, the 25-year-old has held a solid 5-1 record with a .879 save percentage and a 3.11 GAA. During this span he allowed two goals or less in four of his games. Overall, Luukkonen has taken a slight step back this season compared to the 2.57 GAA and the .910 save percentage he held during the 2023 campaign. Given Buffalo's struggling defense and Luukkonen's inconsistency, he should not be targeted as a streaming option in shallow formats or an option in DFS competitions.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
