Tzu-Wei Lin Leaves Game With Injury
6 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder Tzu-Wei Lin (knee) left the game early on Friday against the White Sox with left knee soreness after an awkward slide into second base on a steal attempt. The good news is that he was able to walk off the field under his own power, so consider him day-to-day for now. The 25-year-old was hitless with a walk in his lone plate appearance on Friday and has four hits in 22 plate appearances on the season as a utility man for Boston. There's a good chance that Lin is sent back to the minors when one of the team's injured second basemen -- Dustin Pedroia, Eduardo Nunez, Brock Holt -- return from the injured list.
