Tyus Jones, Josh Okogie Form Good Partnership As Starters
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guards Tyus Jones and Josh Okogie enjoyed a fruitful start together on Saturday against Memphis, combining for 29 points and 13 assists. With Jeff Teague (foot) likely done for the season, Jones has been running the point lately and he's done it very well, averaging eight assists per game in the last three outings and also doing some scoring. He had 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting against the Grizzlies and nine dimes. Okogie finished the game with 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists, shooting 5-for-11 from the field. Derrick Rose (elbow) is also missing from Minnesota's backcourt and he's already officially ruled out for the season. Jones and Okogie will look to eat up the minutes and play well again next against the Clippers on Tuesday.
