Tyson Miller Signs With Mariners
1 year agoThe Seattle Mariners signed right-hander Tyson Miller to a minor-league deal over the weekend. Miller spent the 2023 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets. He became a free agent in October when he was pushed off the Dodgers' active 40-man roster, and now he'll hope to win a roster spot with Seattle in spring training next year. The 28-year-old made 10 appearances in relief last year, allowing eight earned runs while walking six and striking out 10 in 15 1/3 innings pitched. In three major-league seasons, he's struggled to the tune of a 6.97 ERA (5.65 FIP) and 1.55 WHIP with 17 walks and 18 strikeouts in 31 innings over 16 appearances (three starts).
