Tyson Chandler Pulls Down 10,000th Rebound
7 years agoPhoenix Suns center Tyson Chandler made history on Sunday night, becoming the 40th player in NBA history to record 10,000 career rebounds. Despite his accomplishment, nothing else would go right for his team as they would get mauled by the Indiana Pacers 120-97. Chandler was his usual ineffective self on the offensive end, scoring only nine points on 3-for-5 from the field. He did manage to pull down a team-high 14 boards, but was quiet virtually everywhere else. Despite his decline in most categories, Chandler still dominates the rebounding column on a consistent basis, averaging nearly 10 boards per game this season, including 12 this month. However, he should only have a home in the deepest of leagues due to his ability to dominate the glass while not providing much else. If you are in need of rebounds in nine-category leagues, he is your guy but won't make much more of an impact due to his tenure and battle for minutes with centers Greg Monroe and Alex Len.
