Tyson Barrie Inks One-Year Contract With Flames
6 months agoDefenseman Tyson Barrie has signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Calgary Flames. The Flames snapped up Barrie after he spent the training camp with the team on a tryout basis. As an offensive defenseman, Barrie has produced 505 points (109 goals, 396 assists) in 809 career games. However, he's coming off a poor year with the Nashville Predators, which saw Barrie register only one goal and 14 assists in 41 games. The deal could be a steal for Calgary if Barrie finds some of his old magic. He should at least provide some juice to a power play that ranked 26th in the league last season. 210 of Barrie's 505 career points have come with the man advantage.

Tyson Barrie Enters Predators Lineup On Wednesday
1 year agoNashville Predators defenseman Tyson Barrie will be back in the lineup for Wednesday's meeting with the Kings. The veteran has been only a bit-part player for Nashville this season and has also battled an upper-body injury recently, which has limited Barrie to one appearance this month. He has featured 31 times across the season, posting one goal and 10 assists. Barrie's fantasy value has plummeted in 2023-24, but he will be an intriguing fantasy option on Wednesday, as Nashville plans to use him on the first power-play unit.

Tyson Barrie Set To Sit As Healthy Scratch
1 year agoNashville Predators defenseman Tyson Barrie is set to be a healthy scratch on Saturday versus the Rangers. We might even have seen the last of him in a Predators uniform, as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has reported that the team has given permission to Barrie to talk to other teams regarding a move elsewhere. The 32-year-old is a pending unrestricted free agent. Barrie joined Nashville in the middle of the 2022-23 campaign in a trade that sent Mattias Ekholm to Edmonton. He's posted nine points in 22 games this season with 31 shots on goal, 22 blocks, and a minus-five rating.

Tyson Barrie Stays Hot With Two Points
2 years agoNashville Predators defenseman Tyson Barrie took his point streak to four games in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Toronto, finishing the contest with a goal and a power-play assist. Barrie's scoring surge has coincided with Roman Josi's (upper body) absence, with the Nashville captain missing his fifth consecutive game Sunday. Josi is considered day-to-day and could return any minute, but until that happens, Barrie will continue to get extra burn, particularly on the power play. He now boasts three goals and nine points in 14 games as a Predator, and Barrie has amassed 52 points in 75 games across the whole campaign.

Barrie will enter the next matchup against L.A. having bagged eight points in his past seven appearances.
