Tyson Bagent Secures Roster Spot
1 year agoChicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent likely secured a roster spot, and possibly the backup job, with the release of veteran P.J. Walker. The Division II Shepherd University product went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft but impressed the coaches in training camp and preseason. He's now competing with Nathan Peterman for the QB2 job. Bagent holds the NCAA all-time record for career passing touchdowns and led Division II in completions during his senior season. Barring an injury, Justin Fields will still lead this team at the quarterback position.
