Tyrod Taylor An Unappealing Option In Week 1
3 years agoHouston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor will take on the Jaguars in his first action as the starting signal-caller for his new team. Taylor hasn't been a full-time starter since the 2017 season, as he has bounced around between the Browns and the Chargers before settling in with the Texans this year. The dual-threat quarterback offered some sneaky fantasy value from 2015 to 2017, posting some solid passing and rushing numbers, leading to QB12, QB6, and QB15 finishes. He'll likely have every chance to replicate such numbers in Houston with Deshaun Watson not expected to suit up, starting with Sunday's favorable matchup against Jacksonville. The Jaguars defense surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points per game and sixth-most touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks last year- and they might not be any better in 2021. Taylor won't have much upside this season but he could have a decent floor in Week 1 as a second quarterback in 2QB formats.
