Tyrod Taylor A Low-End QB2 In Return To Starting Role
11 months agoNew York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor returns to the starting lineup in Week 17, replacing ineffective rookie Tommy Devito. The Giants coaching staff opted to turn to the veteran halfway through last week's game and saw enough to name him the starter once again. It will be Taylor's first start since Week 8. While the matchup with the Rams is one to take advantage of (the defense is allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the last four weeks), Taylor can't be trusted in the fantasy playoffs. The Giants lack explosive weapons on the outside and are the second-lowest scoring team in the NFL. Taylor is a shaky option in 2QB and Superflex formats and should be avoided altogether in single-QB leagues.
