Tyrion Davis-Price Leads 49ers Rushing Attack On Friday
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price led his offense in rushing for the second time in three preseason games Friday night. Davis-Price carried 10 times for 61 yards in the 23-12 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He also chipped in 16 yards receiving on two of three targets. While Davis-Price looked great with the 49ers' second unit, his depth-chart competitor Jordan Mason took all of the first-team snaps. Mason, like Davis-Price, averaged over six yards per carry in the game. Davis-Price, a 2022 third-round selection, averaged 2.9 yards per carry in limited action last season. Needing at least one injury in front of him to become fantasy-relevant, Davis-Price is not a lock to make the 49ers Week 1 roster.
