Tyrese Maxey Scores 28 Points In Loss Saturday
3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey continued his strong start to the season with 28 points during a 118-111 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. The 21-year-old went 9-for-17 from the field, including 1-for-4 from beyond the arc, and 9-for-9 from the line. The Kentucky product also added a season-high nine assists, three boards and two steals across 35 minutes. Maxey has seized the opportunity with forward Ben Simmons away from the team, averaging 18.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.4 triples on a stellar 52.4% from the field and 86.8% from the line. Until the Simmons situation gets resolved, fantasy managers should enjoy Maxey's breakout as the lead guard on the 76ers.
