Tyrese Maxey Gets 30 Points With Starters Out
4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey enjoyed an extended run with the starters missing on Sunday, leading the team with 30 points in a 128-117 win over Orlando. He shot 11-for-19 from the field and 5-for-5 at the line with a 3-for-4 effort from behind the arc. The 20-year-old rookie also recorded seven rebounds and six assists with one steal, one block and one turnover in 35 minutes. Maxey had a couple of big nights earlier in the campaign as well and it's been a solid rookie year for the 21st pick of last year's draft. He'll return to the bench for playoff action as Philly heads into the postseason as the No. 1 seed in the East for the first time since 2001.
