Tyrell Williams Becoming A Bit Of An Afterthought
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tyrell Williams had a ho-hum game against the Bills on Sunday as he snagged all three passes thrown his way for just 48 yards and no scores. Williams hasn't become a bad receiver, but he's quickly becoming an afterthought on LA's offense due to the heaping pile of weapons that are present. He's clearly behind Keenan Allen and Melvin Gordon in the list of options on any given play, and young stud Mike Williams is robbing him of some opportunities as well. Tack on other options like Austin Ekeler, Virgil Green, and Antonio Gates, and Tyrell is going to be left out in the cold on a lot of occasions. Unless he lands an incredibly favorable match-up when everyone else is held down, Williams is quickly turning into a home run play.
