Tyrel Dodson Re-Signs To Two-Year Deal With Miami
4 mins agoThe Miami Dolphins are re-signing linebacker Tyrel Dodson to an undisclosed two-year deal on Wednesday, a source tells ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. Dodson signed a one-year, $4.2 million deal last offseason with the Seattle Seahawks but was released after nine games. Miami then claimed him off waivers, and he started three of his nine games with the Dolphins in 2024. The 26-year-old had his first career interception in his first start and he finished the year with a team-high three picks. Dodson was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 17 after he had 15 tackles and an interception against the Cleveland Browns. The former undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M had a career-best 107 tackles (59 solo), two sacks, five tackles for loss, three picks, six pass breakups and a forced fumble in 17 total games with Seattle and Miami last year.
