Tyree Jackson Suffers Torn ACL
3 years agoAn MRI exam on Sunday revealed that Philadelphia Eagles rookie tight end Tyree Jackson (knee) tore his ACL in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source. The Eagles initially believed that Jackson avoided an ACL injury, but further testing confirmed that wasn't the case. Jackson won't be available for the playoffs and will miss valuable on-field workouts this spring and likely into the summer. The 24-year-old saw an expanded role in Week 18 with Dallas Goedert on the COVID-19 list, catching three of five targets for 22 yards and his first NFL touchdown on Saturday. In nine games, Jackson had three catches for 22 yards and the one touchdown on seven targets. Goedert should be available for the wild card round of the postseason next week as Philly's starting tight end.
