Tyquan Thornton Scores Twice In Win Over Cleveland
2 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thornton caught four of five targets for 37 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 16 yards on three carries and a score in Sunday's 38-15 win over the Cleveland Browns. He saw an uptick in snaps with Nelson Agholor (hamstring) ruled out and Kendrick Bourne exiting the game early. Bailey Zappe connected with the Patriots' rookie wideout for his first career touchdown on a two-yard strike in the third quarter. He later rushed for a 19-yard score in the fourth quarter to put the Patriots ahead 31-15. Thornton looked impressive on Sunday and could have an expanded role if Agholor and Bourne remain sidelined. The 22-year-old is a speculative add in deep leagues and will look to build on Sunday's performance against the Chicago Bears Monday night.
