Tylor Megill Pitches In Relief During Rehab Outing
2 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Tylor Megill (shoulder) struck out the side after entering in relief during a rehab outing with Double-A Binghamton on Thursday. With Carlos Carrasco (oblique) expected to return to the rotation on Sunday, Megill is expected to pitch out of the bullpen when he rejoins the Mets. The 27-year-old had been sidelined since mid-June with a strained right shoulder. Megill owns a 5.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 47 strikeouts across 41 1/3 innings in 2022. The right-hander could be used in high-leverage situations and provide the Mets another arm out of the bullpen this season.
