Boston Red Sox reliever Tyler Thornburg (shoulder) had a successful first rehab appearance at Triple-A Pawtucket, according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Thornburg allowed one hit in one inning while striking out three batters. Thornburg struck out two batters with the curveball and one with the fastball. It was also a good sign that Thornburg worked between 92-95 mph. There is no timetable set for Thornburg, so leave him on the waiver wire.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
