Tyler Soderstrom 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Late-Round Sleeper With Huge Power Potential
Tyler Soderstrom only played in 61 games in 2024 but showed promising power when he was healthy. He slashed .233/.315/.429 with nine home runs, 26 RBI, and 18 runs. The slugger showed off a 14.6% barrel rate, 49.6% hard-hit rate, and .480 xSLG, which are stats typically seen from the game's elite power hitters. His biggest flaw is his strikeout rate, which was 24.9%, but that was actually an improvement over his past marks. Soderstrom's power should still be able to shine through as long as he doesn't revert back to the 31.2% strikeout rate that he displayed in 2023. There is also the possibility he can take another step forward as a 23-year-old. ATC is projecting him to hit for a .230 batting average with 23 home runs, 65 RBI, and 55 runs in 2025. He is a nice sleeper pick to take a chance on if you need home runs late in drafts. It is rare to find a player with 30-homer power potential being drafted outside of the top 300.
