Tyler Seguin's Offseason Surgery Delayed
4 years agoDallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin is still awaiting his scheduled surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip. Stars general manager Jim Nill previously stated that the 28-year-old forward would be sidelined for approximately four months to recover from the procedure, meaning that Seguin is set to miss at least the first few months of the upcoming NHL season, which has a target start date of January 1, 2021. Seguin totaled 17 goals, 33 assists and 50 points through 69 games this past season, representing his lowest point total through his seven year career with the Stars, along with the first time he has failed to reach the 70-point mark during that stretch. Seguin will fall on draft boards as a result of his expected absence for the early part of the season, but fantasy managers can stash the experienced goal scorer for the fantasy playoffs in the middle months of 2021.
